Darling Downs Hospital & Health Service – Toowoomba QLD is seeking a Clinical Midwife - Lactation Consultant to support women, babies and families with expert breastfeeding care and evidence-based maternity services. You will lead lactation management, educate teams, and drive quality improvement across the service, partnering with midwives and allied health to improve outcomes.

Qualifications

• Registration as a Midwife with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.
• Advanced knowledge of lactation management.
• Strong clinical decision-making and communication.
• Commitment to education, mentoring and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Deliver advanced lactation support that empowers women and improves maternal and infant health outcomes.
• Partner with midwives and multidisciplinary teams to strengthen evidence-based maternity care.
• Provide education, coaching and clinical leadership to build capability across the workforce.
• Contribute to quality improvement initiatives that enhance safety, service excellence and patient experiences.
