Southern NSW Local Health District is seeking a Clinical Midwifery Specialist Lactation Midwife at a postnatal service in Yass. The role offers extended autonomy, mentoring, and contribution to BFHI initiatives within a multidisciplinary maternity team.

You will provide high-quality lactation support, work to deliver woman-centred care, and participate in policy development to improve infant feeding outcomes. This is a temporary full-time position with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Current midwifery registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) with a minimum of three (3) years full time equivalent post midwifery qualification experience.
• Current International Board-Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) certification, or actively working towards IBCLC certification, with ongoing professional development and recertification.
• Demonstrated lactation and breastfeeding care experience within a multidisciplinary healthcare setting.

Responsabilités

• Provide woman-centred lactation and breastfeeding care within a multidisciplinary team.
• Deliver direct clinical care to maintain safe and effective service delivery.
• Advocate for women and families, mentor staff, and contribute to policy and guideline development in lactation.
