Darling Downs Hospital & Health Service – Toowoomba QLD is seeking a Clinical Midwife - Lactation Consultant to support women, babies and families with expert breastfeeding care and evidence-based maternity services. You will lead lactation management, educate teams, and drive quality improvement across the service, partnering with midwives and allied health to improve outcomes.

As a Clinical Midwife - Lactation Consultant, you'll play an important role in supporting women, babies and families to thrive through expert breastfeeding and lactation care. From guiding complex clinical decisions to building capability across maternity services, you'll help create positive experiences and healthier outcomes while contributing to a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.

You're a skilled and compassionate midwife who brings clinical expertise, sound judgement and a genuine commitment to supporting families during an important stage of life. • Registration as a Midwife with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.
• Advanced knowledge of lactation management and contemporary midwifery practice.

You'll stand out from the crowd if you have recognised lactation consultant certification (or are working towards it) and/or postgraduate study or additional experience in maternity services.
