VanHomes is a growing Australian manufacturer on the NSW Central Coast, seeking a Labourer / Tradesperson focused on roofing and working at heights. Join our production team in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment with on-the-job training and progression opportunities.

Essentially you should have general labouring or construction experience, WHS knowledge, and confidence with hand/power tools. Roofing experience is desirable but not essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in general labouring, construction, manufacturing or a trade-related environment.
• Current Working Safely at Heights training (RIIWHS204 or equivalent).
• Strong understanding of workplace health and safety practices.
• Confidence using hand and power tools.
• Physically capable of manual work.
• Reliable, punctual and quality-focused.
• Strong initiative and ability to learn new tasks.

Responsibilities

• Assist with roofing installation, assembly and finishing across relocatable homes.
• Safely perform work at heights according to safety procedures.
• Measure, cut, fit and install roofing materials and fixtures.
• Conduct general labouring and construction tasks as required.
• Collaborate with production teams to maintain productivity and quality.
• Operate hand and power tools safely and effectively.
• Identify hazards and report to supervisor for improvement.
• Maintain a clean, organised and safe workspace.
• Support other production areas to meet deadlines.

About the role

VanHomes is a growing manufacturer of modular and relocatable homes based in Berkeley Vale on the NSW Central Coast.

We're looking for a motivated and reliable Labourer / Tradesperson to join our factory production team, with a focus on roofing, working at heights and general construction activities.

Whether you're an experienced tradesperson, have worked in roofing or have a strong background in construction and labouring, we'd love to hear from you.

Roofing experience is desirable but not essential. We're looking for someone with a strong work ethic, a safety-first attitude and a willingness to learn.

You’ll work alongside our experienced production team, contributing to the manufacture of high-quality relocatable homes in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with roofing installation, assembly and finishing work across our range of relocatable homes.

• Safely undertake work at heights in accordance with workplace safety procedures and approved work methods.

• Measure, cut, fit and install roofing materials, components and associated fixtures.

• Perform general labouring, construction and assembly duties as required.

• Work collaboratively with production teams and supervisors to maintain productivity, quality and efficiency.

• Operate hand tools, power tools and equipment safely and effectively.

• Identify and report quality concerns, hazards and opportunities for improvement to your supervisor.

• Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment.

• Support other areas of production when required to meet manufacturing deadlines.

About You

Essential

• Previous experience in general labouring, construction, manufacturing or a trade-related environment.

• Current Working Safely at Heights training (RIIWHS204 or equivalent).

• A strong understanding of workplace health and safety practices.

• Confidence using hand tools and power tools.

• Physically capable of undertaking manual and practical work.

• Reliable, punctual and committed to producing quality work.

• Strong initiative, motivation and attention to detail.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

• Good time management skills and a willingness to learn new tasks.

Highly Regarded

• Previous roofing experience

• A trade qualification or relevant construction industry experience.

• Current driver's licence.
