Job summary

Complete Staff Solutions is seeking a casual labourer for a construction site in New South Wales, working with pipefitters and mechanical installation teams. Hours are 7am–5pm, with a swing pattern: one week on, one week off, on a 4-week contract with potential extension.

You will assist with lifting, cutting, measuring pipework, use hand and power tools, and support installation of pipe supports and equipment.

Qualifications

• Experience with steel piping and bolted flange torquing.
• Ability to read simple isometric or GA drawings.
• Experience using laser levels, measuring equipment and pipe alignment tools.

Responsibilities

• Assist with lifting and positioning of pipes and valves
• Assist pipefitters or mechanical installers
• Measure, cut, position and support pipework during installation
• Safely operate hand and power tools (grinders, drills, impact drivers, reciprocating saws, pipe cutters, etc.)

Job description

• Assist pipefitters or mechanical installers
• Measure, cut, position and support pipework during installation
• Safely operate hand and power tools (grinders, drills, impact drivers, reciprocating saws, pipe cutters, etc.)
• Assist in the installation of pipe supports, brackets and mechanical equipment

About you

• Previous experience with steel piping
• Familiar with torquing bolted flanges and mechanical assembly
• Ability to read simple isometric or GA drawings
• Experience using laser levels, measuring equipment and pipe alignment tools
• Experience working in a live industrial or fuel facility
• Current Driver Licence
• Willingness and ability to pass a Railway Category 3 Medical Assessment, and associated E-Learning Modules
• Ability to pass a pre-employment urine drug and alcohol test
• Demonstrated experience in a relevant role, with a minimum of 2 work-related references
• Ability to accommodate and commit to both (and potentially ongoing) swings
