Job summary

Toowoomba Regional Council in Pittsworth (QLD) seeks a Labourer to join a multi-skilled team handling construction and maintenance tasks for Council infrastructure networks. Based in a rural area, the role offers a 38-hour week and opportunities across Pittsworth and Greenmount.

Two permanent full-time positions are available with a nine-day fortnight and a rostered day off, plus professional development and flexible salary sacrificing options to boost superannuation.

Qualifications

About the position

As aLabourer, you will perform a broad range of tasks in a constructionand/or maintenance team within the Toowoomba Region. You willwork as part of a multi-skilled team to complete program objectivesfor the maintenance and construction of Council’s infrastructurenetworks.

What you'll bring

• Year10 education OR a combination of experience,qualification, and competence which enables you to perform allduties of the position.
• WHSCompetency (White Card) for CPCWHS1001 Prepareto work safely in the construction industry, or equivalent, ora willingness to obtain prior to commencement.
• Current ‘C’Class Manual Driver Licence.
• Working in Proximityto Traffic Awareness Part 1 and 2 (or obtained within three (3)months post commencement).
• Theability to perform physical tasks, and to operate and maintainplant and equipment.
• Soundnumeracy, written, and communication skills.
