Job summary

Smith & Co is seeking a hands-on Production Labourer for our busy concrete pipe facility in Yatala, QLD. You will perform finishing and production tasks, inspect pipes, and help with mould cleaning and material removal. Forklift operation is used to move pipes around the site.

This role suits someone physically fit, safety-focused, and comfortable using hand and power tools in a fast-paced production environment. A casual trial of 4–8 weeks is offered before potential full-time placement.

About the Role

This is a hands-on opportunity for experienced production labourers to join a busy concrete pipe manufacturing facility in Yatala.

You’ll be working as a Production Labourer in a concrete pipe manufacturing facility, carrying out hands-on finishing and production duties.

The role includes checking finished pipes, sanding and grinding concrete, removing excess material, cleaning moulds and assisting with general production tasks. You’ll also use forklifts to safely move pipes around the site.

This role suits someone physically fit, safety-focused and comfortable using hand and power tools in a fast-paced production environment.

Job Details

• Pay:$38.63 p/h with overtime available
• Shifts:Day shifts starting at 6am or 7am (10+ hours)
• Location:Yatala, QLD
• Casual trial for 4-8 weeks before transfer to full-time for suitable candidates

• Previous labouring experience
• Forklift ticket desirable
• The ability to do manual, physical and repetitive tasks
• Physically fit with the ability to work 10 hour shifts
• Strong safety awareness and attention to detail
• Reliable, practical, and able to work under pressure
