Job summary

Amentum is seeking a full-time Labourer for our Alice Springs office. Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, you will work on minor construction sites, operate hand and power tools, dig trenches, backfill, and assist tradespeople. You will also perform landscaping tasks and support现场 maintenance duties.

The role offers a 38-hour week with shifts from Monday to Thursday 07:30–16:00 and Friday 07:30–13:30. A HR licence and safety focus are essential.

Qualifications

• Valid HR Driver's Licence.
• Previous experience within carpentry, electrical or plumbing trades would be highly regarded.
• Good communication skills - verbal and written.
• Strong compliance with safety with a proven history in safe work practices.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Ability to work professionally with minimal supervision.
• Working at heights (desirable).
• Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and successfully complete assigned tasks.
• Demonstrated ability to identify and analyze issues and develop solutions to problems.

Responsibilities

• Operate hand and power tools, dig trenches, backfill holes, compact earth, and mix, pour and spread concrete.
• Support skilled tradespeople such as carpenters, electricians, and plumbers.
• Perform lawn care tasks including mowing, edging and weed management.
• Record and plan work tasks using computer systems.

EssentialResponsibilities:

• Perform a wide range of tasks to support the organization in its undertaking of the Vesta contract requirements which include but is not limited operating hand and power tools, digging trenches, backfill holes, compacting or removing earth, and mixing, pouring and spreading concrete. You will also support skilled tradespeople such as carpenters, electricians, and plumbers. In landscaping, your responsibilities will include lawn care tasks such as mowing, trimming, edging and weed management, as well as undertaking duties and tasksrequired

• Support of trades and other personnel andassistin other areas of facilities and maintenance area from time to time, asrequired

About You:
