Job summary

Hastings Deering (Australia) Ltd is seeking motivated individuals to join our world-class laboratory as Trainees. You’ll gain hands-on experience, receive on-the-job training and complete a Certificate III in Laboratory Skills to launch your career.

Qualifications

• Must hold a year 12 certificate.
• Interest in pursuing a career in a laboratory environment.
• Willingness to learn and contribute to a team.
• Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident.

Responsibilities

• Collect samples from designated collection points within the premises
• Unpack, sort, label and register samples accurately
• Prepare samples for analysis following laboratory procedures and work instructions
• Conduct routine analysis using laboratory instrumentation
• Correlate and record analytical data
• Complete competency-based laboratory studies and training activities
• Prepare laboratory standards and reagents
• Calibrate and maintain laboratory instrumentation
• Perform housekeeping and routine laboratory equipment maintenance
• Maintain sample traceability and accurate laboratory records
• Display care in the use of company instrumentation, tools, and property
• Contribute to a safe, clean and efficient laboratory environment
