Job summary

Townsville Catholic Education is seeking a School Officer- Laboratory Technician at Columba Catholic College, Charters Towers QLD. The role is permanent, term-time, 35 hours per week, with a salary range of $36.98-$38.14 per hour plus super.

You will assist teaching staff with the design, preparation, demonstration and delivery of practical experiments, maintain equipment and records, and ensure WHS compliance to support student learning in science laboratories.

Responsibilities

• Assisting teaching staff with the design, preparation, demonstration and delivery of practical experiments and assessments.
• Preparing, maintaining, ordering and safely disposing of laboratory equipment, materials and stock solutions.
• Maintaining accurate laboratory records and ensuring WHS compliance in the labs.
• Collaborating with laboratory assistants, academic staff and the WHS Officer to review processes and support student learning.
• Undertaking other duties as required.
