ALS Environmental is seeking a Laboratory Technician to join our Metals team at the Kirwan Laboratory in Townsville. You will receive on‑the‑job training across analytical processes, laboratory techniques and quality procedures while delivering accurate results for environmental samples.

Qualifications

• Genuine interest in science with University or TAFE qualifications.
• Experience with ICP-MS is advantageous.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Good laboratory practices and high computer literacy.
• Ability to work well in a team and manage time effectively.

Responsabilités

• Prepare and analyse environmental samples.
• Ensure procedures and tasks follow ALS Quality Work Instructions.
• Organise tasks to support daily workflow and maximise efficiency.
• Complete tasks within required timeframes set by the Supervisor.
• Identify anomalies in results or sample behaviour.
