ALS Environmental in Townsville (Kirwan) is seeking a Laboratory Technician to join our Metals team. You will receive on-the-job training across analytical processes and quality procedures while supporting the preparation and analysis of environmental samples.

The ideal candidate has a genuine interest in science, either a university or TAFE qualification, and good attention to detail. ICP-MS experience is advantageous; strong communication and time management are essential.

Qualifications

• A genuine interest in science with University or TAFE qualifications.
• Experience with ICP-MS is advantageous.
• High attention to detail with strong communication and organisational skills.
• Understanding of good laboratory practices and computer literacy.

Responsabilités

• Preparing and analysing environmental samples.
• Ensuring procedures and related tasks are completed to ALS standards.
• Organising tasks to support daily workflow and efficiencies.
• Completing tasks within required timeframes set by the Supervisor.
• Identifying and highlighting anomalies in results or samples.
