The Envirolab Group is seeking a Laboratory Technician to join its modern, NATA-accredited laboratory in Australia. The role involves sample preparation and analysis across environmental chemistry and related fields, ensuring timely tests and strict quality control.

You will work across multiple teams, maintain safety, and document processes while contributing to high service standards and sustainability commitments.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Science (Chemistry major preferred) or Certificate IV in Laboratory Techniques.
  • Strong attention to detail and clear communication.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced lab.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and analyse samples within required holding times.
  • Follow quality control protocols to maintain high standards.
  • Adhere to laboratory safety procedures and PPE usage.
  • Complete documentation accurately and promptly.
  • Maintain a clean, organised workspace through regular housekeeping.

About the role

We are seeking applications for a Laboratory Technician to join our modern, NATA-accredited laboratory. The role involves preparing samples for analysis and requires a versatile individual who can adapt to various tasks and work across multiple teams. Your role will be crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of our laboratory processes.

Responsibilities

  • Sample Preparation & Analysis: Prepare and analyse samples, ensuring tests are conducted within the required holding time.
  • Quality Control: Follow all quality control protocols to maintain high standards.
  • Safety: Comply with laboratory safety procedures and proper PPE usage.
  • Documentation: Complete all documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Housekeeping: Maintain a clean and organised workspace through regular housekeeping.

About you

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Passionate about environmental issues and sustainability
  • A degree in Science (Chemistry major is preferred) or Certificate IV in Laboratory Techniques
  • Exceptional attention to detail
