Job summary

Intertek Envirolab is seeking a Chemist for its LC section in Australia. The role involves chemical analysis, sample preparation, data processing, and quality control to support environmental and industrial monitoring programs.

You will ensure accurate reporting and maintain instruments such as LC-MS/MS while upholding laboratory accreditation standards. The ideal candidate has a Chemistry degree, 2+ years of lab experience, and strong communication skills to thrive in a collaborative team

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science (Chemistry major) required.
• Minimum 2 years laboratory experience, preferably chemical analysis.
• Minimum 1 year of experience operating instruments and wet chemistry.

Description

We are currently accepting applications for the role of Chemist in our LC section. This role involves conducting chemical analysis using advanced laboratory techniques and instrumentation. You will play a key role in sample preparation, instrumental analysis, data processing, and quality control, contributing to environmental and industrial monitoring programs.

Responsibilities include:

• Sample Preparation & Analysis - Perform chemical analysis.
• Data Processing & LIMS Entry - Accurately interpret and report analytical results.
• Quality Control & Compliance - Ensure all testing meets strict laboratory and industry accreditation standards.
• Instrument Calibration & Maintenance - Conduct routine maintenance and troubleshooting of key analytical instruments such as LC-MSMSMS.
• Laboratory Safety & Housekeeping - Maintain a safe, clean, and well-organised workspace.
• Technical Documentation & Reporting - Ensure precise and timely documentation of all analyses.

Skills and Experiences:
