Job summary

Fusion Technologies is seeking a Laboratory Technician to join our team in Wacol, QLD. You will support specialty chemistry formulation for oil and gas well servicing in a fast-paced environment.

You will perform sample handling, testing, and QA/QC on finished goods, support field work, and participate in new product formulations while liaising with clients as required.

Qualifications

• Two-year technical diploma in a relevant field such as petroleum engineering or chemical technologist.
• Four-year BSc in chemistry or engineering is considered an asset.
• A valid driving license with a clean driving record is required.

Responsibilities

• Sample receiving, handling, testing, and disposal.
• Laboratory analysis including client sample testing, viscosity/rheological testing, water analysis, benchtop wet chemistry, microbiology testing, and corrosion testing.
• Surfactant evaluations and compatibility testing.
• QA/QC testing on finished goods.
• Research projects and non-routine/special client projects.
• New product formulations.
• On-site customer support at the wellhead.
• Serving as a liaison to clients as required.

About you
