Job summary

Safe Environments, based in Norwest, NSW, is seeking a Laboratory and Field Technician to launch a career in a dynamic accredited environment. The role values a science or engineering degree or TAFE Laboratory Technology qualification, plus strong communication, Word/Excel skills, and the ability to work independently and in teams.

Your Role: As a Laboratory and Field Technician with us, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of exciting tasks, including:

Slip Resistance Testing: Ensure surfaces meet safety standards.

Ceramic Tile and Stone Testing: Analyse materials for durability and quality.

Construction Material Testing: Evaluate materials used in construction projects.

Luminance Contrast Measurement: Assess visibility and safety in different lighting conditions.

Asbestos Identification & Fibre Counting: Play a crucial role in identifying and managing asbestos.

Air Monitoring & Occupational Hygiene Inspections: Conduct important inspections to ensure workplace safety from dust and chemical exposures.

What We’re Looking For:

Degree in Science, Forensics or Engineering or

TAFE Qualifications in Laboratory Technology or a related field
