Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a Lab Test Technician for a top aerospace and advanced technology client. In the Environmental Test Lab, you will own the processes and equipment needed to perform testing critical to satellite production.

Through hands-on troubleshooting and continuous improvement, you will help ensure quality, efficiency, and scalable lab operations in a fast-paced production environment working with flight hardware and precision measurement tools.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Aerospace/automotive manufacturing experience or equivalent industry experience.
• Hands-on work with electro-mechanical assemblies, testing and harness integration.
• Experience in fast-paced production environments with flight hardware.

Responsibilities

• Own the processes and equipment required to perform testing for satellite production.
• Troubleshoot and improve lab processes to ensure quality and efficiency.
• Support rate scaling and lab throughput in a fast-paced environment.

Job description

Insight Global is seeking Lab Test Technician's for a top aerospace and advanced technology client. As a Test Technician within the Environmental Test Lab, you will own the processes and equipment required to perform testing critical to satellite production. Through process improvement and hands-on troubleshooting, you will be responsible for the quality, efficiency, and rate scaling of the lab.

Basic Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED
• Relevant aerospace/automotive manufacturing experience or equivalent industry experience
• Hands on work experience with electro-mechanical assemblies, final integration, testing and/or harness integration experience
• Experience in a fast-paced production environment with flight hardware
• Hand on experience with precision torque, measurement and inspection devices (i.e., automated and manual torque wrenches, calipers, micrometers, profilometers, optical inspection devices, multi-meters, torque wrenches, etc..)

Preferred Qualifications (not required but nice to have):

• Experience working with FOD, ESD sensitive hardware and clean room requirements
• Experience working with MES software packages
• Ability to rapidly change roles/responsibilities while working in a high-paced, challenging work environment
• Experience working with High Pressure or Vacuum systems in a development or production environment
• Experience working with test software (IE Do you have experience with test software like Test Stand, Lab View and/or Python)
• Experience reading standard operating procedures or technical documents in production environment
• Experience using VCR, Swagelok or vacuum fittings
• Experience navigating between multiple internal tracking systems display hardware status
