Job summary

Amazon Kuiper Manufacturing Enterprises LLC is seeking a Test Lab Operations Automation & Operations Engineer to support Leo Production Operations. You will bridge software, hardware, and operations teams to configure, maintain, and improve automated testing infrastructure in Leo Labs and Manufacturing environments.

You will implement test automation, troubleshoot on the manufacturing floor, and collaborate across engineering and production to deliver reliable, scalable lab operations.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of hardware development or hands-on engineering experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide operational support for customers using test environments.
• Implement and maintain automated test systems (TestStand, LabVIEW) in high-paced production environments.
• Perform hardware/software integration and real-time troubleshooting on the manufacturing floor.

Manufacturing Systems Engineering

Manufacturing Systems Engineering under Leo Production Operations is responsible for delivering test software, hardware, and frameworks that improve the speed and quality of satellite component testing. We partner with engineering and production teams to enhance reliability and repeatability of our test systems, improve throughput, and accelerate transition.

Test Lab Operations Automation & Operations Engineer

We are seeking a Test Lab Operations Automation & Operations Engineer to perform operations support and implement / integrate automated testing solutions in Leo Labs and Manufacturing environment. This role serves as a bridge between LEO developers, testing, and operations teams, focusing on configuring hardware, test equipment, and maintaining automated testing infrastructure to streamline laboratory operations. In this role you will work across the org with many software and hardware teams to provide operational support and implementation of automation solutions providing updates to senior management and stakeholders.

Export Control Requirement: Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

Key job responsibilities

• Provide operational support for customers using test environemnts
• Implement and maintain automated test systems, TestStand sequences, and Python/LabVIEW-based test frameworks in high-paced production environments
• Perform hardware/software integration and real-time troubleshooting on the manufacturing floor
• Configure and integrate test equipment with automation systems
• Set up and maintain automated testing platforms (TestStand, LabVIEW)
• Implement data collection, reporting tools, and automated notification systems
• Manage version control and change management processes for automation tools
• Configure and maintain CI/CD pipelines
• Provide technical support and training for laboratory automation users
• Create comprehensive documentation for automated systems and procedures

Basic Qualifications

• 2+ years of hardware development, test lab, space/aerospace maintenance or hands-on engineering environment experience

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
