Job summary

Qualifications

Suitable qualifications in Science (certificate level required, degree level preferred).
Demonstrated knowledge of the technical support required in school science laboratories.
Demonstrated high level oral, written and electronic communication skills.
Demonstrated capacity to provide advice and support to management in respect to the work area.
Demonstrated commitment to professional learning and growth for both self and others.
Demonstrated knowledge of OHS policy and procedures, including; Dangerous Goods and Hazardous Substances regulations.

Responsibilities

Setting up equipment and instrumentation for science demonstrations and classes.
Maintaining records of chemicals and hazardous substances and ensuring proper storage.
Assisting teachers with experiments and managing safety protocols in labs.
Ensuring safe, efficient operation of the science laboratories and compliance with DET/School policies.
