Job summary

Liebherr-Australia Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Learning & Development Specialist to design modern, engaging learning experiences across Australia and New Zealand. You’ll partner with leaders, People Partners and subject matter experts to identify capability needs and deliver practical solutions that drive business outcomes.

You will lead instructional design activities, develop blended learning, and support the LMS while contributing to capability frameworks and continuous improvement

Qualifications

• Proven experience designing workplace learning solutions.
• Strong knowledge of instructional design principles and adult learning.

Responsibilities

• Identify capability needs with leaders and SMEs and develop practical learning solutions that deliver business outcomes.
• Partner with leaders and People Partners to identify capability gaps and opportunities.
• Consult with stakeholders to recommend effective learning and development solutions.
• Design engaging learning programs using contemporary instructional design principles.
• Develop blended learning solutions including digital learning, microlearning, workshops and on‑the‑job resources.
• Build practical development pathways supporting employee growth and career progression.
• Coach leaders to strengthen learning transfer and development conversations.
• Manage external training providers and evaluate learning effectiveness.
• Support and administer the Learning Management System (LMS).
• Deliver reporting and insights on learning engagement, capability development and compliance requirements.
• Contribute to capability frameworks and continuous improvement initiatives.

As a trusted learning advisor, you will work closely with leaders, People Partners and subject matter experts to identify capability needs and develop practical learning solutions that deliver real business outcomes.

You will:

• Partnering with leaders and People Partners to identify capability gaps and learning opportunities
• Consulting with stakeholders to recommend the most effective learning and development solutions
• Designing engaging learning programs using contemporary instructional design principles
• Developing blended learning solutions including digital learning, microlearning, workshops, toolkits and on-the-job resources
• Building practical development pathways that support employee growth and career progression
• Coaching leaders to strengthen learning transfer and development conversations within their teams
• Managing external training providers and evaluating learning effectiveness
• Supporting and administering the Learning Management System (LMS)
• Delivering reporting and insights on learning engagement, capability development and compliance requirements
• Contributing to capability frameworks and continuous improvement initiatives across the business

Skills & Experience:

You are a collaborative and commercially minded L&D professional who enjoys partnering with stakeholders and creating learning experiences that drive meaningful change.

To be successful, you’ll bring:

• Qualifications in Learning & Development, Organisational Development, Human Resources, Education or a related discipline, or equivalent experience
• Proven experience designing and delivering workplace learning solutions
• Strong knowledge of instructional design and adult learning principles
• Experience consulting with stakeholders to diagnose capability needs and recommend solutions
• Demonstrated ability to manage learning initiatives from scoping through to evaluation
• Strong communication, influencing and relationship-building skills
• Experience with Learning Management Systems and learning administration
• A passion for continuous improvement and innovative learning approaches
