Job summary

Medibank Group is building a knowledge experience capability and is seeking a Knowledge & Content Design Lead to shape strategy, standards and the future direction of knowledge design across the hub. You will lead a team of Content Designers, partner with senior stakeholders, and drive improvements in information architecture, usability and governance of knowledge platforms.

You will balance strategic thinking with practical delivery, champion plain-English content, and apply accessibility

Qualifications

• Experience leading content, UX content or knowledge management teams.
• Strong grounding in user experience design principles.
• Expertise in content strategy, information architecture and user-centred design.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills.
• Experience establishing governance, standards and quality frameworks.
• Proven track record of creating plain English content aligned with accessibility standards.
• Ability to balance strategic thinking with practical delivery.
• Experience working with knowledge platforms and content management systems, including HTML/CSS and accessibility knowledge.

We're looking for a strategic and experienced Knowledge & Content Design Lead to join the Medibank Hub and lead the evolution of our knowledge experience ecosystem.

This is an exciting opportunity to shape the strategy, standards and future direction of knowledge design across a large and complex frontline environment.

The role leads a team of Knowledge Content Designers and specialists and acts as the design authority for content experiences, knowledge architecture and knowledge platforms across the Hub.

The Opportunity

As a Knowledge & Content Design Lead, you will shape how knowledge is experienced across the Medibank Hub.

You'll partner with senior stakeholders across the business to improve how knowledge is structured, governed and delivered, helping create better experiences and stronger business outcomes.

What You'll Be Doing

Lead the Knowledge Content Design function and coach a team of specialist Content Designers.

Develop and deliver the knowledge experience strategy and roadmap.

Establish content design standards, governance frameworks and best practices.

Drive improvements in information architecture, content usability and knowledge management platforms.

Use research, data and user insights to improve knowledge experiences and frontline performance.

Partner with leaders across the business to influence priorities and deliver meaningful change.

About You

You'll be an experienced leader in Content Design, UX Content, Information Architecture or Knowledge Management with a passion for creating simple, effective experiences for users. You'll bring:

Experience leading content, UX content or knowledge management teams.

Strong grounding in user experience design principles, and familiarity with user interface design

Expertise in content strategy, information architecture and user-centred design.

Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills.

Experience establishing governance, standards and quality frameworks.

A proven track record of creating plain English content aligned with accessibility standards and readability metrics.

The ability to balance strategic thinking with practical delivery.

Experience working with knowledge platforms, content management systems and digital content technologies, including a practical understanding of HTML, CSS and accessibility principles that support effective digital knowledge experiences.

An aptitude for technology and delivery systems that will support the end to end management of projects and workflows. (e.g. Miro, Confluence, Jira and/or Figma)
