Crowne Plaza Hobart in Hobart, TAS is seeking a reliable Part Time Kitchenhand to join our kitchen team. In this hands‑on role you’ll help maintain a clean, safe and organised kitchen while supporting culinary operations.

Your tasks include washing dishes, sanitising surfaces, storing deliveries, assisting with basic prep, and helping during service. Flexibility across a 7‑day roster is required; ongoing full working rights in Australia; based in Hobart or willing to relocate.

Qualifications

• Experience in kitchen roles desirable but not essential.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Maintains high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
• Communicates well and works as part of a team.
• Able to lift and stand for extended periods.
• Willing to work across a 7-day roster.
• Ongoing full working rights in Australia.
• Based in Hobart or willing to relocate.

Responsibilities

• Operate dishwashing machinery to clean and sanitise crockery, cookware and kitchen tools.
• Clean and sterilise surfaces, stoves, ovens, grills, back-of-house areas and cooking equipment.
• Keep kitchens, wash-up areas and storage spaces clean, safe and organised including fridges and freezers.
• Receive, sort and store kitchen deliveries.
• Support the Kitchen and F&B teams during service, including basic food preparation (peeling, cutting, washing ingredients).
• Remove kitchen waste and maintain cleanliness throughout the kitchen in line with IHG procedures.
• Report hazards and follow safety procedures using appropriate equipment.
