Crowne Plaza Hobart invites a reliable Kitchenhand (Part Time) to join our Kitchen team in Hobart. You will help maintain a clean, safe, and organised kitchen while supporting the team to ensure smooth culinary operations.

You’ll perform dishwashing, basic food preparation, and assist during service, with a focus on cleanliness, hygiene, and efficient operation, on a 7-day roster including mornings and evenings.

Qualifications

• Experience with kitchen hygiene and safety practices is beneficial.
• Ability to follow instructions and work efficiently in a busy kitchen.

Responsabilités

• Operate dishwashing machinery to clean and sanitise crockery, cookware and kitchen tools.
• Clean and sterilise surfaces, stoves, ovens, grills, back-of-house areas and cooking equipment.
• Keep kitchens, wash-up areas and storage spaces clean, safe and organised including fridges and freezers.
• Receive, sort and store kitchen deliveries.
• Support the Kitchen and F&B teams during service, including basic food preparation (e.g. peeling, cutting and washing ingredients).
• Remove kitchen waste and maintain cleanliness throughout the kitchen in line with IHG procedures.
• Report hazards and follow safety procedures using appropriate equipment.
