Job summary

Chartwells is seeking a Kitchen Hand in Western Australia to support high-volume dining and education-site catering. You will assist with basic food prep, dishwashing, cleaning and stock handling while following strict food safety standards.

Enjoy hands-on kitchen skills development, a wage of AU$27.09–AU$30.00 per hour plus 12% super, and a work-life balance with easy public transport access. School holidays off and other benefits are highlighted.

Qualifications

Experience in a high-volume kitchen hand or hospitality environment.
Able to wash dishes for up to 300 pax.
Strong time management and multitasking in a fast-paced setting.
Team player with a good work ethic and willingness to learn.
Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
Working With Children Check (or willingness to obtain).

Responsibilities

Assist with basic food preparation and presentation of food.
High volume washing and sanitising of dishes, utensils and kitchen equipment.
Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards across kitchen, dining and service areas, including deep cleaning duties.
Receive, unpack and organise stock deliveries and supplies.
Follow strict food safety and WHS standards in line with company protocols.
Support chefs and the wider catering team as required.
