Delaware North Australia & New Zealand is seeking a casual Kitchenhand at Adelaide Airport to join a fast-paced kitchen team. The role combines sandwich hand duties with general kitchenhand tasks to support cleanliness, organisation and efficient back-of-house operations.

You’ll prepare fresh sandwiches and assist with broader kitchen activities, ensuring food safety, hygiene and quality standards are met while working a 7-day rotating roster.

Competenze

• Previous experience as a sandwich hand or kitchenhand.
• Food Safety Certificate.
• Ability to work a 7 day rotating roster.

• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen area.
• Conduct temperature and quality checks and manage cross-contamination to meet Food Safety standards.
• Support kitchen team in creating an organized, efficient workspace.

The opportunity

Delaware North Australia is hiring a casual Kitchenhand to join our team at Adelaide Airport. This role combines the responsibilities of both a Sandwich Hand and a Kitchenhand, ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced kitchen environment and enjoys variety in their day-to-day tasks.

You'll be crafting an array of fresh sandwiches while also supporting broader kitchen operations - ensuring cleanliness, order, and efficiency in the back of house.

What will you do?

• Maintain consistent cleanliness and hygiene standards in the kitchen area
• Conduct temperature and quality checks, effectively managing cross-contamination to ensure WHS compliance, displaying a strong commitment to meeting Food Safety standards
• Support kitchen team members in establishing and sustaining an organised and efficient workspace
• Take on hands‑on cleaning duties, including sweeping and mopping floors, washing dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment, waste disposal and management, operating a commercial dishwasher, and handling cleaning chemicals
• Execute food preparation tasks within a commercial kitchen environment, showcasing excellent food presentation skills

• Food Safety Certificate
• Passion and enthusiasm for working in a fast‑paced environment
• Ability to work a 7 day rotating roster
