Job summary

Victor Churchill is seeking a Kitchenhand for our Mascot production kitchen to support daily operations with a focus on hygiene, safety, and efficiency.

Key duties include washing dishes and equipment, maintaining a clean work area, packing and labeling orders, assisting with basic food prep, receiving deliveries, FIFO stock rotation, waste disposal, and supporting chefs during peak production hours.

Responsibilities

• Wash dishes, pots, and food preparation equipment.
• Maintain a clean, hygienic work area by sweeping, mopping, and sanitizing surfaces and workstations in accordance with food safety standards
• Accurately pack, label, and assemble finished food orders for outgoing delivery and dispatch, ensuring all items match delivery manifests
• Assist the culinary team with basic food prep tasks, such as washing, peeling, chopping produce, and portioning ingredients ready for cooking
• Receive deliveries, unload stock, and verify incoming orders against invoices
• Promptly rotate and store goods in correct chillers, freezers, or dry storage areas following FIFO (First-In, First-Out) practices
• Empty garbage bins, dispose of food waste responsibly, and maintain neat recycling and bin areas
• Assist chef and production supervisors with general operational tasks as required during peak production hours
