Hamilton Island Enterprises is seeking reliable Kitchen Stewards to join our culinary teams across the island. With 21 bars and restaurants, award-winning venues and large-scale events, we offer fast-paced, supportive kitchen environments on one of Australia’s most breathtaking locations.

You will maintain cleanliness, support daily service, and work across restaurants, cafes and event venues while upholding high hygiene standards.

Formación

• Experience in a commercial kitchen, hospitality or cleaning environment is advantageous.
• Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment.
• Strong attention to cleanliness, hygiene and safety.
• Ability to work varied shifts, including mornings, evenings, weekends and public holidays.
• Valid working rights in Australia for a minimum of six months.
• Open Australian driver licence preferred for some roles.

Responsabilidades

• Maintain the cleanliness of kitchen equipment, utensils and work areas.
• Operate commercial dishwashing equipment safely and efficiently.
• Support kitchen teams with general cleaning and basic preparation duties.
• Follow food safety, hygiene and workplace health and safety procedures.
• Assist with waste disposal and ensure back-of-house areas remain clean and organised.
• Work collaboratively with chefs and fellow stewarding team members during busy service periods.

Your Role

As a Kitchen Steward, you’ll play an important role in supporting the smooth operation of our kitchens. Working across a variety of restaurants, cafes and event venues, you’ll help maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene and organisation while supporting our culinary teams during daily service.

To Be Successful, You Will Need:

• Previous experience in a commercial kitchen, hospitality or cleaning environment is advantageous.

• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment.
• Strong attention to cleanliness, hygiene and safety.
• Ability to work varied shifts, including mornings, evenings, weekends and public holidays.
