Job summary

Peppers Salt Resort & Spa Kingscliff is seeking a Kitchen Steward to maintain the sparkle of our kitchen, ensuring hygienic cleanliness of crockery, utensils and workspaces for guests.

You will join our kitchen brigade in a fast-paced resort setting, helping with basic prep and supporting the team, including mornings, evenings, weekends and public holidays as required. Accor’s global hospitality network backs development.

Qualifications

• Practical experience in kitchen operations or cleaning is a plus.
• Enthusiastic 'can-do' attitude and motivated demeanor.
• Thrives in a diverse, fast-paced kitchen team.

Responsibilities

• Maintain impeccable hygiene while cleaning crockery, cutlery, glassware, and kitchen equipment using dishwashers and manual methods.
• Carry out rubbish removal, sweeping and mopping of kitchen floors.
• Disinfect and clean in proper chemical sequence.
• Support kitchen team with basic food preparation tasks such as grating, peeling, chopping, and preparing batters, garnishes, and seasonings.
