Job summary

Challenger Services Group in Sydney is seeking part-time Kitchen Stewards to support busy commercial kitchens in premium hotels.

You will maintain cleanliness, operate dishwashers, and assist chefs with general duties while following HACCP and safety practices. A Food Handler Basics Certificate is preferred.

This role offers flexible daytime or overnight shifts in Sydney CBD with competitive hourly rates and staff benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience in fast-paced hospitality environments is preferred.
• Strong focus on cleanliness and food safety practices.
• Experience in a commercial kitchen or stewarding role preferred.

Responsibilities

What You'll Be Doing:

As a Kitchen Steward, you'll be responsible for:

• Supporting the daily operation of busy commercial kitchens.
• Operating commercial dishwashers and kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
• Maintaining a clean, organised and hygienic kitchen environment.
• Cleaning and storing kitchen equipment, crockery and utensils.
• Preparing equipment for functions and events.

About you:

You'll be someone who:

• Enjoys working in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
• Takes pride in maintaining high standards of cleanliness and presentation.
• Has previous experience in a commercial kitchen or stewarding role.
• Understands safe manual handling, food safety and chemical handling practices.
• Is reliable, punctual and enjoys working as part of a team.
• Holds a Food Handler Basics Certificate (preferred but not essential).
