Challenger Services Group is seeking enthusiastic part-time Kitchen Stewards to support premium commercial kitchens in Sydney. You will help maintain cleanliness, food safety standards and smooth operation across shifts, including daytime or overnight roles.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Support the daily operation of busy commercial kitchens.
• Operate dishwashers and kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
• Maintain a clean, organised and hygienic kitchen environment.
• Clean and store kitchen equipment, crockery and utensils.
• Prepare equipment for functions and events.
• Assist chefs with general kitchen duties as required.

Challenger Services Group is looking for enthusiastic Part-Time Kitchen Stewards to join our hospitality team. Working in premium commercial kitchens, you'll play an essential role in supporting chefs and kitchen teams by maintaining exceptional cleanliness, food safety and operational standards.

Every shift is different, and your contribution helps deliver outstanding dining experiences for our clients and their guests.

Available Shifts: Flexible Daytime or Overnight Shifts Available

Location: Sydney CBD

What You'll Be Doing:

As a Kitchen Steward, you'll be responsible for:

• Supporting the daily operation of busy commercial kitchens.
• Operating commercial dishwashers and kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
• Maintaining a clean, organised and hygienic kitchen environment.
• Cleaning and storing kitchen equipment, crockery and utensils.
• Preparing equipment for functions and events.
• Assisting chefs with general kitchen duties as required.
• Following food safety, HACCP, workplace safety and company procedures at all times.

About you:

You’ll be someone who:

• Enjoys working in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
• Takes pride in maintaining high standards of cleanliness and presentation.
• Has previous experience in a commercial kitchen or stewarding role.
• Understands safe manual handling, food safety and chemical handling practices.
• Is reliable, punctual and enjoys working as part of a team.
• Holds a Food Handler Basics Certificate (preferred but not essential).
