Job summary

Challenger Services Group in Melbourne CBD is seeking a Kitchen Steward for an evening/night shift to support a busy hotel kitchen. You will wash dishes, keep floors clean, manage bins and assist with end-of-event cleaning to ensure readiness for the next service.

Ideal candidates are comfortable hands-on, can work independently and with a team, and follow hygiene and safety procedures. The role is part-time with an evening/overnight roster.

Qualifications

• Experience in commercial kitchen, hospitality, hotel or food and beverage environments.
• Strong safety awareness and ability to follow hygiene standards.
• Reliable and punctual with a positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Wash and clean dishes, pots, pans, trays, cutlery, crockery and other kitchen equipment.
• Clean kitchen areas and equipment, benches, stoves, grills and fryers to hygiene standards.
• Manage waste, sweep, mop and empty bins; assist end-of-service cleaning.
• Maintain hygiene and safety, follow HACCP and WHS requirements.
