Job summary

West HQ is seeking reliable Kitchen Hands to support our busy kitchen and keep operations running smoothly in Sydney. You will work across wash-up, cleaning, and basic prep tasks, contributing to a clean, safe and high-standard dining environment.

You'll need a positive attitude, be willing to work across seven days including mornings, evenings and holidays, and have or be eligible for full Australian working rights. Training will be provided and uniforms/meals are offered.

Qualifications

• Experience as Kitchen Hand/Kitchen Steward or similar is desirable.
• Understanding of food hygiene and workplace safety requirements.
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and SDS is an advantage.
• Good organisational and time-management skills.
• Positive attitude and teamwork.
• Availability seven days incl mornings/evenings/overnight/weekends/holidays.
• Full Australian working rights.

Responsibilities

• Operate wash-up areas and ensure a steady supply of clean crockery and utensils.
• Clean and sanitise kitchen equipment, benches and work areas.
• Sweep and mop floors and maintain safe kitchen spaces.
• Remove rubbish and dispose of waste correctly.
• Assist with opening and closing cleaning procedures.
• Follow food safety, hygiene and health & safety requirements.
• Report hazards or maintenance concerns to the manager.
• Support the wider kitchen team as required.
