Job summary

Peppers Salt Resort & Spa Kingscliff is seeking a Kitchen Steward to maintain the sparkle of our kitchen. You will clean crockery, utensils, workspaces and assist the kitchen team with basic prep while following strict hygiene standards.

You’ll work in a fast-paced, diverse team with shifts including mornings, evenings, weekends and public holidays as required. Accor benefits and staff programs are highlighted in the role description.

Qualifications

• Practical experience in kitchen operations or cleaning is a plus.
• Enthusiastic, can-do attitude and motivated demeanor.
• Thrives in a diverse, fast-paced team environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain hygiene while cleaning crockery, cutlery, glassware and kitchen equipment using dishwashers and manual methods.
• Carry out rubbish removal, sweeping and mopping of kitchen floors.
• Disinfect and clean following proper chemical usage sequences.
• Provide support to kitchen team including basic food prep, grating, peeling, chopping and preparing batters, garnishes and seasonings.

Purpose

As a Kitchen Steward, your role is pivotal in maintaining the sparkle of our kitchen. Your main responsibilities involve upholding cleanliness, including dishware, utensils, and workspaces, all while strictly adhering to hygiene standards. You are an integral part of the kitchen brigade, collaborating seamlessly to deliver exceptional dining experiences for our valued guests.

Primary Responsibilities

• Maintain impeccable hygiene while cleaning crockery, cutlery, glassware, and other kitchen equipment, using both commercial dishwashers and manual cleaning methods
• Carry out rubbish removal, sweeping and mopping of kitchen floors
• Disinfect and clean, ensuring the proper sequence of chemical usage
• Provide valuable support to our kitchen team, including various tasks such as basic food preparation, grating, peeling, chopping, and preparing batters, garnishes, and seasonings.

Skills & Experience

• Having practical experience in kitchen operations or cleaning is a plus
