Job summary

Mercure Resort on the Gold Coast is seeking a dishwashing/kitchen porter to join our restaurant and banquets team. You will wash equipment, maintain cleanliness across kitchens and outlets, and ensure hygiene standards are consistently met.

The role requires flexibility across shifts, reliability, and the ability to work both in a team and independently. Parking is available, and the environment supports wellbeing and growth in hospitality.

Qualifications

• Full availability & flexibility to work variety of shifts across the week.
• Able to get to work at various hours (own transport recommended, parking provided).
• A professional attitude and strong work ethic.
• Ability to perform in a team and autonomously.
• Experience in high-volume and fast-paced restaurants.
• Physically fit and able to lift 10kgs safely.

Responsibilities

• Be an integral part of our restaurant and banquets kitchen team.
• Wash kitchen equipment and crockery to a high standard.
• Use dishwashing machinery and cleaning chemicals safely.
• Maintain excellent cleanliness of the kitchens and food outlets.
• Ensure hygiene, health, and safety standards are met at all times.
• Smooth operation of the loading bay, relocating deliveries & waste disposal bins.
