Accor Apartments & Realty on the Gold Coast is seeking a Kitchen Steward to keep dishware, utensils and work areas spotless. You will follow hygiene standards and support the kitchen brigade to deliver high-quality dining experiences for guests.

Responsibilities include cleaning crockery and equipment, rubbish removal, floor sweeping and mopping, and assisting with basic food prep as needed. Flexibility for mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays is required.

Formación

• Experience in kitchen operations or cleaning is preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Maintain hygiene and cleanliness of crockery, cutlery, glassware and kitchen equipment using dishwashers and manual cleaning.
• Remove rubbish and sweep/mop kitchen floors.
• Disinfect and clean following correct chemical usage sequence.
• Assist kitchen team with basic food preparation tasks as needed.

Purpose

As a Kitchen Steward, your role is pivotal in maintaining the sparkle of our kitchen. Your main responsibilities involve upholding cleanliness, including dishware, utensils, and workspaces, all while strictly adhering to hygiene standards. You are an integral part of the kitchen brigade, collaborating seamlessly to deliver exceptional dining experiences for our valued guests.

Primary Responsibilities

• Maintain impeccable hygiene while cleaning crockery, cutlery, glassware, and other kitchen equipment, using both commercial dishwashers and manual cleaning methods
• Carry out rubbish removal, sweeping and mopping of kitchen floors
• Disinfect and clean, ensuring the proper sequence of chemical usage
• Provide valuable support to our kitchen team, including various tasks such as basic food preparation, grating, peeling, chopping, and preparing batters, garnishes, and seasonings.

Skills & Experience

• Having practical experience in kitchen operations or cleaning is a plus
• Have an enthusiastic "can-do" attitude and a positive and motivated demeanour
• You thrive working within a diverse team in a fast-paced environment
• Flexible availability to accommodate various shifts, including mornings, late evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required
