Job summary

Colonial Group is seeking a Kitchen Steward to keep the kitchen sparkling and hygienic for guests. You will clean dishware, utensils, and workspaces, following hygiene standards and safe chemical usage. This role supports the kitchen brigade and contributes to smooth dining experiences.

The position requires flexibility to cover day shifts, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and public holidays as needed.

Qualifications

• Having practical experience in kitchen operations or cleaning is a plus
• Have an enthusiastic "can-do" attitude and a positive and motivated demeanour
• You thrive working within a diverse team in a fast-paced environment
• Flexible availability to accommodate various shifts, including mornings, late evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required

Responsibilities

• Maintain impeccable hygiene while cleaning crockery, cutlery, glassware, and other kitchen equipment, using both commercial dishwashers and manual cleaning methods
• Carry out rubbish removal, sweeping and mopping of kitchen floors
• Disinfect and clean, ensuring the proper sequence of chemical usage
• Provide valuable support to our kitchen team, including various tasks such as basic food preparation, grating, peeling, chopping, and preparing batters, garnishes, and seasonings
