Job summary

Hyatt Regency Brisbane is seeking a dedicated Steward to join our Kitchen team. You will help maintain a clean, organized back-of-house, ensure equipment is ready for service and respond quickly to operational needs to support an exceptional guest experience.

Role focuses on teamwork, clear communication, and a caring hospitality mindset. Flexibility to work a range of shifts, including weekends and public holidays, is essential to keeping our kitchen running smoothly.

Qualifications

• Must maintain a high standard of grooming and personal presentation.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential.
• Ability to work a variety of shifts, including early mornings, nights, weekends and holidays.
• Unrestricted working rights in Australia.

Responsibilities

• Wash dishes and support back-of-house cleaning and maintenance.
• Ensure cleaning schedules are followed and records kept.
• Handle and store cleaning chemicals safely and correctly.
• Complete Daily Cleaning Checklists for back-of-house areas and adjacent front-of-house components.

As a valued member of our Stewarding team, you help keep daily operations running smoothly and support an exceptional guest experience. You’ll maintain clean, organised back-of-house areas, ensure equipment is ready for service, and respond quickly to operational needs. This role centres on teamwork, communication, and creating an environment where our guests can enjoy seamless, high-quality hospitality.

Some of the responsibilities include:

• Washing of dishes along with general back of house cleaning and maintenance
• To ensure all cleaning schedules are maintained
• To ensure all chemicals are used and stored correctly
• Ensure 'Daily Cleaning Checklists' are completed for all back of house areas and related front of house components.

Role requirements:
