Job summary

Delaware North Australia is hiring a casual Kitchen Attendant to join our vibrant culinary team at Blacktown Exercise and Technology Hub (BEST) in New South Wales. The Kitchen Attendant will be essential in maintaining cleanliness, order, and efficiency in the kitchen, ensuring smooth operations.

You'll use basic cooking skills, follow WHS guidelines and food safety, and support kitchen staff in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Kitchen Hand is a plus.
• Food Safety Certificate or willingness to obtain one during onboarding.
• Strong communication skills.
• Enthusiastic about working in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexible with shifts, mornings, days, and nights, including weekends.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food in a commercial kitchen, ensuring it’s presented beautifully.
• Keep the kitchen area clean and maintain high hygiene standards.
• Follow WHS guidelines, manage Food Safety, and conduct temperature and quality checks.
• Assist kitchen staff in maintaining an organised and efficient workspace.
• Perform cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, dishwashing, and waste management.
