Job summary

Village Roadshow Theme Parks is seeking a Kitchen Knifeskills team member at Movie World, Oxenford on the Gold Coast. This part-time role pays $27.11 per hour and focuses on basic cookery, knifeskills, and food preparation to support the park’s dining operations.

Responsibilities include delivering prepared food before opening, preparing raw items, cooking and plating, and upholding strict food hygiene standards in a busy environment. Shifts include varied times.

Qualifications

• Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
• Experience in high-volume kitchen operations is an advantage.
• Knowledge of food hygiene and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Deliver prepared food into the park prior to opening.
• Prepare raw food items in Production Kitchen (dicing fruit, slicing tomatoes, slicing meats, cooking basic items).
• Cook and plate in an a-la-carte environment.
• Follow workplace hygiene procedures and maintain a clean, hygienic workspace.
