Job summary

Melaleuka Farm Hospitality is seeking a reliable Kitchen Hand (Entry Level)/Kitchen Porter (Entry Level) to join our back-of-house team. You will help with food mise en place, keep areas clean, and support chefs in a fast-paced kitchen.

No formal experience required, but Food Handlers Certificate and a willingness to learn are essential. This casual role offers friendly team culture and opportunities to grow within our farm-to-table operation.

Qualifications

• Current Food Handlers Certificate.
• Demonstrated experience in a similar role.
• Chemform Training Certificate.

Responsibilities

• Food mise en place: assisting chefs with food preparation.
• Kitchen Standards: keep work areas and dishes clean and organised; wear uniform and PPE.
• Operational Efficiency: ensure dishwasher machinery works and chemicals are stored safely.
• Health and Safety: assist with setting up the kitchen and receiving deliveries per H&S standards.
