Job summary

Hannah St. Hotel Melbourne is seeking a Casual Kitchen Hand to join the kitchen team. You will help keep the kitchen clean and ready for service, assisting with dishwashing, basic food prep and stock handling alongside our chefs and Food & Beverage team, ensuring a positive guest experience.

We value a positive attitude, reliability and the ability to work efficiently in a busy kitchen, with flexibility to cover early mornings, evenings, weekends and public holidays.

Qualifications

• Positive attitude and strong work ethic required.
• Ability to work efficiently in a busy kitchen environment.
• Good teamwork and communication skills essential.
• Understanding of food safety and hygiene principles.
• Ability to safely use kitchen equipment and follow cleaning procedures.
• Flexibility to work across a rotating roster, including early mornings, evenings, weekends and public holidays.

Responsibilities

• Assist with dishwashing and maintain clean equipment and work areas.
• Help with basic food preparation and kitchen setup.
• Keep workstations clean, organised and hygienic.
• Follow food safety, hygiene and WHS procedures.
• Assist with receiving, storing and rotating stock when required.
• Work collaboratively with the Kitchen and Food & Beverage team.
• Contribute to a positive, supportive kitchen environment.
