Job summary

The Lune Co in Melbourne is seeking a casual and full-time Kitchen Hand to join Lune Lonsdale. You will be part of a large, fast-paced production kitchen and help maintain smooth operations with high hygiene standards.

Responsibilities include dishwashing, basic prep, and adherence to food safety and safety protocols. Flexibility to assist Rose St team when needed; you’ll thrive in a values-led environment emphasizing Pride, Positivity, Respect, Growth and Excellence.

Qualifications

• At least 6 months experience as Kitchen Hand or KP.
• Have full working rights in Australia.
• Flexibility to work across weekdays, weekends and shifts.

This role is ideal for a reliable, positive person who enjoys fast-paced work and takes pride in keeping a high-volume production kitchen running smoothly. You'll be part of a large, busy team delivering the care, craft and excellence that define everything we do. Flexibility is important, as this role may occasionally support our Rose St team when operational needs arise. What the role involves:

• Dishwashing, cleaning and maintaining excellent hygiene standards
• Basic kitchen preparation and organisation
• Following systems to uphold cleanliness, food safety and workplace safety standards
• Working efficiently in a fast-paced production kitchen environment
• Learning Lune terminology, systems and processes

About you:

• Remain calm and productive in a busy kitchen environment
• Have a positive attitude and strong work ethic
• Enjoy working as part of a large, fast-paced team
• Communicate clearly and contribute positively to team culture
• Are open to feedback and enjoy routine, structure and consistency
• Have at least 6 months previous Kitchen Hand/KP experience
• Have full working rights in Australia
• Can offer strong flexibility across weekdays, weekends and shifts as required
