Job summary

QCCS Queensland Child Care Services in Ipswich is seeking a Kitchen Hand to prepare meals for Morning Tea, Lunch and Afternoon Tea. No formal qualifications are required; training will be provided, and you should be enthusiastic about cooking fresh, wholesome meals for children.

The Opportunity: Kitchen Hand

Your Responsibilities:

The Kitchen Hand will prepare the meals for our centres for Morning Tea, Lunch and Afternoon Tea. There's no need for formal qualifications and all training will be provided but you should be enthusiastic about preparing fresh and wholesome meals for the children in our service. Nutrition is a vital part of children's development and healthy eating is part of the QCCS philosophy. We believe food ingredients should come from the kitchen, not from a lab.

The Kitchen Hand must be passionate about children's nutrition and have the same ethos and passion to embed and promote this in our centre.

Your role will include the preparation of fruits and vegetables for platters etc, heating and delivering meals, ensuring compliance with the centre Food Safety Plan and much more!
