Job summary

Broncos Leagues Club in Brisbane is seeking a Kitchen Hand to join our busy kitchen team. You’ll support chefs, handle basic food prep, and help keep the outlets clean and well organized.

This casual role offers the chance to work across multiple outlets with shifts across evenings, weekends and public holidays, with hourly pay of $33.05 (casual loading) and onsite parking. Training and development are available.

Qualifications

• Food Handlers Certificate required or willingness to obtain.
• Availability to work a flexible roster, including weekends and public holidays.

Responsibilities

• Assisting chefs with basic food preparation and kitchen duties.
• Washing dishes, pots, pans and kitchen equipment.
• Maintaining a clean, tidy and organised kitchen.
• Cleaning and sanitising kitchen areas and equipment.
• Assisting with receiving, storing and rotating stock.
• Supporting the kitchen team during busy service periods.
• Assisting with kitchen set-up and pack-down.
• Following food safety, hygiene and workplace health and safety procedures.

Broncos Leagues Club is looking for Kitchen Hands to join our busy kitchen team and help keep our food operations running smoothly.

With multiple food and beverage outlets across the Club, no two shifts are exactly the same. You’ll work alongside our chefs and kitchen team to support the preparation, service and cleanliness of our kitchen outlets.

A role with variety

As a Kitchen Hand, you will play an important role in supporting our chefs and the wider food & beverage team.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Assisting chefs with basic food preparation and kitchen duties
• Washing dishes, pots, pans and kitchen equipment
• Maintaining a clean, tidy and organised kitchen
• Cleaning and sanitising kitchen areas and equipment
• Assisting with receiving, storing and rotating stock
• Supporting the kitchen team during busy service periods
• Assisting with kitchen set-up and pack-down
• Following food safety, hygiene and workplace health and safety procedures
• Working as part of a team to ensure our members and guests receive great food and service
• Performing other general kitchen duties as required

How you show up

• Can work efficiently in a busy hospitality environment
• Takes pride in cleanliness and presentation
• Is physically capable of working on their feet and completing manual kitchen duties

• Is flexible and available to work across a range of shifts, including evenings, weekends and public holidays

Previous kitchen or hospitality experience is preferred but not essential. We’re happy to train the right person who has the right attitude and work ethic.
