Job summary

Moonlight Cinema Sydney is seeking experienced Kitchen Crew to join the team for the summer season. This hands-on casual role delivers high-quality food to guests and supports kitchen operations across the event period, with availability for nights and weekends from mid-November through early April.

You will work in a fast-paced, team-driven environment, ensuring food safety and efficiency while contributing to memorable guest experiences under the stars at Centennial Parklands.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year kitchen experience in high-volume or event settings.
• Knowledge of food safety, hygiene and WHS practices.
• Trade qualification and Food Safety Supervisor Certification preferred.
• RSA and Australian work rights essential.
• Team orientation with strong organisational skills.
• Experience in hospitality, events or cinema industry.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook and assemble food items per recipes and portions.
• Maintain kitchen cleanliness, hygiene and food safety standards.
• Restock and rotate stock; assist prep stations during service.
• Support smooth service flow with front-of-house and kitchen teams.
• Monitor equipment and report hazards or issues promptly.

About the Role

Moonlight Cinema Sydney is seeking experienced Kitchen Crew to join the team for the summer at the iconic Centennial Parklands. This hands-on casual role is integral to preparing, cooking, and delivering high-quality food to our guests and supporting smooth kitchen operations across the event season. You'll thrive in a fast-paced, team-focused environment and contribute to creating memorable guest experiences. You must be available to work nights, including weekends, from mid-November through early April.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook, and assemble food items according to recipes and portion controls
• Maintain kitchen cleanliness, hygiene, and food safety standards
• Restock and rotate stock, and assist with prep stations during service
• Support smooth service flow with front-of-house and kitchen teams
• Monitor kitchen equipment and report hazards or issues promptly

What You'll Bring

• Minimum 1 year kitchen experience, preferably in high-volume or event settings
• Knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and workplace health & safety
• Trade qualification and Food Safety Supervisor Certification (preferred)
• Team player with strong organisation and attention to detail
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Experience in hospitality, events, or cinema industry
• Valid RSA and Australian work rights (essential)
