Queensland Flexible Schools invites applications for a Kitchen Coordinator at Gympie to deliver healthy school meals. The fixed-term, part-time role (0.8FTE) runs from 6 October 2026 to 30 October 2027, reporting to the Head of Campus and collaborating with staff and students on campus.
Healthy meal preparation, food safety practices and ability to use and maintain kitchen equipment are essential. A First Aid certificate is required or must be obtained within three months.

The Kitchen Coordinator will report directly to the Head of Campus and is expected to work collaboratively with all staff and young people in the school. The primary role of Kitchen Coordinator is a stand‑alone role that will be required to prepare and provide healthy meals to the young people who attend Gympie Flexible School.
We are seeking someone who is organised, flexible and able to work independently while also contributing positively to a multidisciplinary campus team. Previous hospitality experience and/or relevant qualifications as a chef or cook are highly desirable, together with demonstrated experience in preparing healthy meals and an understanding of safe food preparation, storage and service. Basic campus utility tasks are also an occasional requirement of this role.
