Edmund Rice Education Australia (EREA) Flexible Schools Ltd in Gympie seeks a Kitchen Coordinator for a fixed-term, 0.8FTE, part-time role from 6 Oct 2026 to 30 Oct 2027. The role reports to the Head of Campus and works with staff and students to prepare healthy meals.
Hospitality experience or chef qualifications are desirable, with knowledge of safe food handling, storage and service. The role may include basic campus tasks.
The Kitchen Coordinator will report directly to the Head of Campus and is expected to work collaboratively with all staff and young people in the school.
The primary role of Kitchen Coordinator is a stand-alone role that will be required to prepare and provide healthy meals to the young people who attend Gympie Flexible School.
We are seeking someone who is organised, flexible and able to work independently while also contributing positively to a multidisciplinary campus team. Previous hospitality experience and/or relevant qualifications as a chef or cook are highly desirable, together with demonstrated experience in preparing healthy meals and an understanding of safe food preparation, storage and service. Basic campus utility tasks are also an occasional requirement of this role.
