Job summary

Contemporary Catering is looking for a Food Service Assistant to join our aged care team in Victoria. This part-time role involves serving meals with warmth and care, helping with basic food preparation and setting up meal service across shifts.

We value prior hospitality experience and recommend a Food Safety certificate; checks may be required including a National Police Check or NDIS Worker Screening, plus vaccination as relevant to the facility.

Qualifications

• Prior hospitality experience preferred but not required.
• Certificate in food safety recommended.
• National Police Check or NDIS Worker Screening Check may be required.
• Vaccination including the COVID-19 booster may be required as per facility rules.

The role of a Food Service Assistant in an Aged Care facility is busy as it is rewarding.

You will be required to,

• provide high customer service to residents when serving meals.
• assist with basic food preparation.
• set up for meal service and clean down afterwards etc.

Part-time positions available, and shifts are offered throughout all 7 days to suit your availability from 6:30am to 8:00pm

Prior hospitality experience is highly valued but not mandatory. A certificate in food safety is recommended. Additionally, you may be required to hold a National Police Check or a NDIS Worker Screening Check, as well as be fully vaccinated (including the COVID-19 booster) in accordance with the requirements of the aged care facility at which you work.
