Job summary

Contemporary Catering is seeking a part-time Food Service Assistant for its aged care facilities across Victoria and NSW. You will help serve meals with friendly resident interaction, assist with basic food preparation, and set up and clear away after service. Shifts run across 6:30am–8:00pm seven days a week to suit availability.

Hospitality experience is valued but not mandatory. A food safety certificate is recommended; checks such as National Police Check or NDIS Worker Screening, plus full

• Certificate in food safety is recommended.
• Willingness to undergo police checks and screening (National Police Check or NDIS).
• Vaccination including COVID-19 booster as required by facility.

Responsibilities

• Provide high customer service to residents when serving meals.

• Set up for meal service and clean down afterwards.
• Availability for shifts across 7 days from 6:30am to 8:00pm.

The role of a Food Service Assistant in an Aged Care facility is busy as it is rewarding.

You will be required to,

• provide high customer service to residents when serving meals.
• assist with basic food preparation.
• set up for meal service and clean down afterwards etc.

Part-time positions available, and shifts are offered throughout all 7 days to suit your availability from 6:30am to 8:00pm

Prior hospitality experience is highly valued but not mandatory. A certificate in food safety is recommended. Additionally, you may be required to hold a National Police Check or a NDIS Worker Screening Check, as well as be fully vaccinated (including the COVID-19 booster) in accordance with the requirements of the aged care facility at which you work.
