Job summary

Contemporary Catering in Victoria is hiring a Food Service Assistant to support our aged care facilities with meal service and basic food preparation.

Part-time shifts run across 6:30am to 8:00pm, seven days a week, offering flexibility to match your availability. No mandatory hospitality experience, but a Food Safety certificate is recommended and relevant screening checks may be required. Full vaccination including the booster is expected.

Qualifications

• Hospitality experience is valued but not mandatory.
• Certificate in Food Safety is recommended.
• May require National Police Check and NDIS Worker Screening.
• Must be fully vaccinated including COVID-19 booster as per facility requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide high customer service to residents when serving meals.
• Assist with basic food preparation.
• Set up for meal service and clean down afterwards.

The role of a Food Service Assistant

In an Aged Care facility is busy as it is rewarding.

You will be required to,

• provide high customer service to residents when serving meals.
• assist with basic food preparation.
• set up for meal service and clean down afterwards etc.

Part-time positions available, and shifts are offered throughout all 7 days to suit your availability from 6:30am to 8:00pm

Prior hospitality experience is highly valued but not mandatory. A certificate in food safety is recommended. Additionally, you may be required to hold a National Police Check or a NDIS Worker Screening Check, as well as be fully vaccinated (including the COVID-19 booster) in accordance with the requirements of the aged care facility at which you work.
